Screen Size Calculator (Width, Height & Pixel Density)

Get the width, height, area, and pixel density of a display from its diagonal and aspect ratio. It supports 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 4:3, 3:2, and custom aspects in inches or centimeters.

How to use
  1. Enter the screen diagonal.
  2. Pick the aspect ratio or set a custom one.
  3. Add the resolution for pixel density.

Common questions

How do I find width and height from a diagonal?

Use the aspect ratio to split the diagonal: for 16:9 the width is the diagonal times 16 divided by the square root of 16 squared plus 9 squared.

What is pixel density (PPI)?

PPI is pixels per inch, found by dividing the diagonal pixel count by the screen's diagonal in inches. Higher PPI looks sharper.
